"Destroy the Enemy Air Force wherever you find them, in the air, on the ground, and in the factories."
-Hap Arnold, December 27, 1943.

Two years ago, the Royal Air Force emerged victorious from their finest hour in the
Battle of Britain. They now carry the fight to the Reich, attacking its
cities with massive, 1000 bomber raids by night, and sweeping the coastlines
with fighters by day, daring the Luftwaffe to challenge their "Rodeos."

Recently, the United States Army Air Force entered the fray. Despite warnings
from their experienced British Allies, faith is placed in heavily-armed
"Flying Fortresses," and their ability to take the fight deep into Germany.
This will prove costly until adequate long-ranged fighter escorts can be produced.

The Luftwaffe remains a dangerous and well-trained foe. The "Experten" of the
Jagdflieger can mount a ferocious defense, but a war of attrition will hamper them
far more than the United States and British Empire.

Victory for either side is far from certain as the battle rages overhead...

Over the Reich is a Multiplayer ONLY scenario for Civilization II Test of Time Patch Project version 15.1 or greater created by John Petroski & Prof. Garfield.
Grab a friend and take to the unfriendly skies over Germany!
World War II witnessed the advent of all elements of modern warfare as we know them today; airborne troops and special forces, guided munitions and ballistic missiles, the main battle tank and field radios, individual fieldcraft and camouflage, rotor and jet aircraft, aircraft carriers and strategic airpowers, radar and sonar. The huge popularity of World War II scenarios has allowed this short period of less six years to have its own section. Relive battles from all the major campaigns of the War including the Fall of France and Low Countries, North Africa, Barbarossa, D-Day, the Pacific Theatre and the Atlantic War.
== Description ==

14 A.D.

It has been five years since Arminius betrayed Varus, slaughtered three of our legions in the Teutoburg Forest, and stole our eagles. Since then, the Germans have grown complacent. They question our might and consider us vanquished.

The campaigning season is nearly over and winter's frost will arrive at any moment. No German thinks of war tonight. Instead, they can be heard drunkenly celebrating their pagan gods, convinced of their invulnerability.

In a few hours, they will be fast asleep in a drunken stupor... The perfect time to strike.

Lead your legions in a surprise strike across the Rhine and take vengeance for our lost legions! Burn the Germans' villages, massacre their men, and enslave their children and womenfolk! Find our lost eagles and return them to the Empire! Bring the traitor Arminius back to Rome, dead, or alive!

The Ancient Ages comprise the Bronze and Iron Ages and is generally acknowledged to have started with the first literate cities of Mesopotamia. The scenarios in this category cover the rise and decline of various dominant powers in the so-called Cradle of Civilization, the Mediterranean. These include the Minoans, Mycenaeans, Classical Greek city states and Cataginians. The period also encompasses the early Egyptian dynasties and their contemporaries in Asia Minor, China and India and ends with the rise, decline and fall of the Roman Empire.

Scenarios which start with the beginning of civilization and span across multiple periods are located here as well.
A SCENARIO BY JOHN P. PETROSKI AND GRISHNACH
FOR THE TEST OF TIME PATCH PROJECT V.0.15.1
2018

"Gallia est omnis divisa in partes tres, quarum unam
incolunt Belgae, aliam Aquitani, tertiam qui ipsorum
lingua Celtae, nostra Galli appellantur."

This is the first new scenario released featuring lua events. Some groundbreaking features from this scenario include:

1. Ranged attack units
2. An Area of Recruitment
3. Units spawned on site of 'capture'
4. Prerequisite buildings for certain units (cavalry require stables, etc.)
5. Batch files are now obsolete!

This requires TNO's Test of Time Patch Project v.0.15.1 or greater! It can be downloaded here: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/the-test-of-time-patch-project.517282/page-47#post-15089974
May 58 B.C.

The Helvetii have been on the move for several months
now, a massive migration of an entire people.

Earlier this year, the tribes of the Alps torched their
homesteads and fields, determined never to return.
Their goal was to settle in the fertile lands of Gaul,
which naturally alarmed the new governor of the nearby
Roman province: Gaius Julius Caesar.

At first, the Helvetii had requested safe passage
through Roman territory. Badly outnumbered, Caesar
initially delayed, telling the Helvetic delgates to
return in several weeks. This gave Caesar enough time
to send for his four legions, and to raise two more.

When the Helvetic delegates returned, they were refused
passage through the province. This left them only one
option: to invade the lands of Rome's Aeudian allies.

Seeking fortune and glory, Caesar moved swiftly to
intercept the invaders in the hills near Bibracte...
JPetroskihttps://sleague.civfanatics.com/index.php?title=Germanicus_on_the_Rhine&diff=1066Germanicus on the Rhine2011-02-12T23:37:45Z
JPetroski: uploaded scenario
