A scenario for Civilization II: Fantastic Worlds by Kurt Stoyle.

Description

The Wheel Of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose over the quiet village of Emond's Field where Rand al'Thor and his friends were preparing to make a dangerous journey to liberate the Eye of the World from the forces of the Dark One. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.

Thank you for your interest in “The Wheel of Time” scenario for Civilization II. If you are particularly devoted to either Civ II or WoT, you probably remember my first attempt at wot.scn (then titled wheel.scn, if memory serves)—a fairly standard military campaign in which the Dragonsworn and Forsaken jostle for supremacy over the world explored in Robert Jordan’s fine series. It started some way into the novel’s plot, and in hindsight was not overly ambitious. Nevertheless, many people enjoyed it, and were pleased at the prospect of a scenario based on Jordan’s works. That was April 1999. Forward to November, 2001.

I have created an entirely new scenario. This is not a cosmetic update to wheel.scn; nor is it a substantial overhaul. I have abandoned the old scenario totally, and brought forward a game which I believe is faithful to Jordan’s series and hopefully very enjoyable.
