To set sail and conquer that is what many believe to be the Viking nature. That is not legend; it is, however, only one side of their history. There is no single cause for the sudden onslaught of Vikings against the shores of medieval Europe, their restless travels and their search for a new and better life elsewhere across the Atlantic. That is why this scenario is not only about the conflicts of the time but also about their exploration and settlement of both sides of the Atlantic and their failure to adapt to a new world that never really understood them..
