To play my Civilization 2 Test of Time Scenario Cradle of Blood

you can choose between the .SCNs COMPLETE.SCN and HEARTLAND.SCN.

All, Multiplayer, Single Player, use just these two .SCNs and their

Events.txt. 2Clic! the Complete.batch to play the COMPLETE.SCN, and

2Clic! the Heartland.batch to play the HEARTLAND.SCN. The only Difference

between both Events is the Troopers Placement at the Beginning of the Game.

The best Way to place the Basic Armies, for a Complete Empire, and for

a Heartland only is, sry, to place the Basic Armies different for both.

Decided to do the most fair and smooth Variant of a fair and smooth

Fun/Game/Play. So, 2Clic! the Complete.batch, load the COMPLETE.SCN,

1500 BC all Empires at a Kind of Apex already, or 2Clic! the Heartland.batch,

load the HEARTLAND.SCN, 1600 BC all Empires just 3 Towns Heartlands

to conquer, explore, expand. No other Changes in the Events.txt,

cause it includes no "1200 BC Turn 400 Sea Peoples kill the Game" Event.

There is no Turn History Game Killer Cheating. Dont expect one sudden

SUPER Strike... expect sudden HEAVY Strikes, but not a single Game Killer.

Hm. Any of the sudden HEAVY Strikes, could be your Game Killer if you are weak.

But any Threat, could also be a Chance. Learn, how the Modder means that.

Defend vs Threats, and take your Chances. I didnt want to create a usual Game,

in which you just conquer not losing anything. I created a Game of permanent

Death. That was, in my Mind, a permanent Struggle, a permanent Change of Life,

and some handled it better than the others. So, handle sudden Strikes,

handle your Empire, and dont expect the bad Sea Peoples as Game Killer.

Tried to balance between Civil War and Starvation. Off the Civil War Message.

Tried to create all seven Empires playable, but had to take the Free Peoples

as the strong Basic Events Enemy Libya/Lukka/Crete/Cyprus/Amurru/Sea Peoples.

They should not be played, as the general Sea Power and Free Power of the

Eastern Mediterranean. Tried to create it compact as possible plus resistant

as possible to uphold the Events given and active Troopers long and much

as possible, and to expand their Threat. The other six Empires are fully playable.

The Free Peoples plus six playable Empires are:

Great King Galibli of the Free Peoples

Great King Agamemnon of the Achaeans

Great King Salmanassar of the Assyrians

Great King Saustatar of the Mitanni

Great King Tarhuntaradu of the Arzawa

Pharao Ramesses of the Egyptians

Great King Hattusili of the Hittites

That were hard Times surely, 1200 BC. As my sweet little Poem told.

The Hittites, in my Opinion, were a Continental Empire, enough Work

and War for them to control their Continental Vassals, and not enough

Harbours and Ships to consolidate Shortages of Foods and Trades.

Droughts. Starvation. Then Civil Wars. Then Earthquakes destroying

Troy, Crete, Greek Towns, Anatolian Towns. Then the Sea People.

Then the revolting Vassals and War after War. No Wonder, that the

more... static and inflexible Empires came to their Death.

The Temples burned, the Elites massacred, the Gods bleeding.

And the Hittites in the Middle of a dry Anatolian Continental Empire.

The Scenarios begin 1600/1500 BC, a Turn a Year, to expand til these most

interesting End-Times. The Scenario provides seven playable Empires.

All of them need great Care and Love, to survive, and to march on.

And the Hittites, damned difficult to play, damned difficult to survive.

Created so-called Heartlands, and their Minor Provinces to conquer and

to have Fun, to pack all these Wars into these Times of Curse and Death.

Have Fun.
